Catalog Description: Study of Human Gross Anatomy with emphasis upon the anatomical structure (and a bit of function) of the components of the human body. Relies heavily on laboratory dissection in approach. The course is first and foremost a study of human gross. Students spend a majority of course contact time in the laboratory doing dissection, which provides a forum for self-study and learning in small-groups. The goal of the Human Embryology component of the course is to provide basic knowledge of Human Embryology and to help students become familiar with overt embryology as a basis for understanding complex areas of Gross Anatomy.
Prior to Fall 2019, this course was 3 credit hours.
