Catalog description: The Skin-Musculoskeletal course introduces you, the future physician, to the study of anatomy correlated with physical examination skills ??" both are basic to the science and practice of medicine. This course is designed to provide you with an introduction to cadaver dissection which will continue over the next year and a half. Developing physical examination skills of the respective areas of the body will also be an integral part of this course and others as you progress through the body systems. In this course, you will be dissecting the upper and lower extremities, as well as the back and pectoral region. You will gain a practical, working knowledge of the three-dimensional macroscopic structure of the human body and will learn how to examine the shoulder and knee in this course. You will also learn the embryological development of the limbs, including the skeletal and muscle systems.
