Caitlin Caspi to Examine Relationship Between Minimum Wage, Health
Caitlin Caspi, ScD, received a $3.5 million grant from the National Institute of Health to evaluate the effect Minneapolis’ $15 minimum wage ordinance could have on obesity in employees making minimum wage. Minneapolis employees will be compared to Raleigh, North Carolina residents who make a minimum wage of $7.25.
“Minneapolis is really in the spotlight right now as far as answering the question, ‘What happens when you do this?’” Caspi told the Minnesota Daily.
