Dr. Brian McGlinch Proposes an Alternative Method to Random Urine Drug Test Screening

New research conducted by Dr. Brian McGlinch from the Department of Anesthesiology was recently published in Anesthesia and Analgesia. His research titled The Law of Unintended Consequences Can Never Be Repealed: The Hazards of Random Urine Drug Screening of Anesthesia Providers looks at the contentious debate over widespread Random Urine Drug Test Screening. The study found professionals with easy access to potent drugs have a higher likelihood to abuse those drugs as well as a shared risk of alcohol abuse.
