Minnesota Monthly’s Top Doctors Include 220+ Medical School Physicians

Top Doctors are chosen by peer physicians.

Minnesota Monthly Magazine has named 227 University of Minnesota Medical School and University of Minnesota Physicians (M Physicians) doctors across 70 specialties as Top Doctors for 2022.

Every year, the magazine asks each physician in the Twin Cities and Rochester areas, “If you or a loved one needed medical care, which doctor would you recommend?”

The top responses, as voted on by peer physicians, are those who make up the 2022 lists’ honorees.

“Minnesota is consistently regarded among the top states in the nation for healthcare,” said Bevan Yueh, MD, MPH, CEO of University of Minnesota Physicians and Vice Dean for Clinical Affairs at the U of M Medical School. “To have 227 physicians named as top doctors in one of the overall top states for healthcare is remarkable.”

The University of Minnesota has also trained nearly 70% of the state’s physicians.

“I am proud of each of our physicians, who provide comprehensive care from the common to the complex for over one million patients each year,” Dr. Yueh said.
