Stephanie Terezakis, MD Named Department Head of Radiation Oncology

Today, I am excited to announce that Stephanie Terezakis, MD has accepted the role of Department Head of Radiation Oncology.

Dr. Terezakis is a professor in the department and has served as Vice Chair for Research since joining our Medical School in January 2019. Prior to her arrival here, Dr. Terezakis held several leadership roles at the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine Department of Radiation Oncology and Molecular Radiation Sciences, including Director of Clinical Operations, Director of Pediatric Radiation Oncology, and Residency Program Director. She maintains an active research program, investigating stereotactic body radiation therapy techniques in pediatric and adult tumors, and serves as a national leader within the Children’s Oncology Group (COG) that develops and runs national clinical trials for children with cancer.

I am grateful to Kathryn Dusenbery, MD for her strong leadership of the department for more than 20 years and her many contributions to our Medical School and clinical practice.

Please join me in congratulating Dr. Terezakis on her new leadership role and wishing Dr. Dusenbery the best in her retirement.
