University of Minnesota Masonic Children’s Hospital kicked off the 3M Open for patients and families with a party! Inpatients, outpatients and families were able to enjoy mini golf, face painting, giveaways, a DJ, a photo booth and food.

Minnesota Wild left wing Jason Zucker, professional golfer Annika Sorenstam, and 3M Open Ambassador and Vikings tight end Kyle Rudolph made special guest appearances and joined the festivities.

Annika Sorenstam and Kyle Rudolph even had the chance to go upstairs and celebrate the birthdays of some of the patients as well as visit with other patients throughout the hospital who could not attend the party downstairs.

The 3M Open is a new professional golf tournament in Minnesota on the PGA Tour, held at TPC in Blaine July 4-7. 3M is the title sponsor of the event. As one of the event’s pillar charities, Masonic Children’s will receive a portion of the proceeds from this year’s tournament to go towards supporting the hospital and the amazing work that happens everyday improving and saving the lives of children and their families.
