The Department of Medicine will be hosting a guest speaker, Molly Carnes, MD, for a lecture titled “Why Jack is More Likely to Become Department Chair than Jill?”

Dr. Carnes is a professor of Women’s Health Research and Director of the Center for Women’s Health Research at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Her research focuses directly on how cultural stereotypes influence judgments in addition to decision-making in ways that limit opportunities academically.
