Zoongide 'ewin: An exhibition on Native American Health & Resilience in the Great Lakes Region
Presented by the University of Minnesota Medical School, Duluth Campus & the Center of American Indian and Minority Health with Karpeles Manuscript Library Museum, please join us for an exhibition and conversation on Native American resiliency, health, and perspectives in the Great Lakes region.
This exhibition is focused around the Ojibwemowin word "Zoongide 'ewin," which means strong hearted. It is dedicated to Native American resiliency and determination to live, hang on to the Native American way of life, culture, and success. Indulge in gallery floor discussions led by local experts on the history and challenges surrounding Native American culture and rural health. Attend the Zoongide 'ewin event Thursday, April 26, 2018 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm, inside the gorgeous 19th century interior of the Karpeles Manuscript Library Museum.
