Biography

Bio

As a neurotologist and lateral skull base surgeon, I focus on the surgical and medical treatment of disorders of the ear, hearing and balance, and skull base tumors. My clinical expertise includes cochlear implantation, otosclerosis, cholesteatoma, acoustic neuroma, Neurofibromatosis Type II, lateral skull base surgery, gamma knife radiosurgery, cerebrospinal fluid leak, and vestibular (inner ear balance) disorders. I am particularly grateful to have the privilege of helping patients and families regain quality of life and the ability to communicate and deepen connections. My team is committed to pursuing excellence in clinical care, research, and education, all while offering patients personalized, evidence-based, and innovative treatments.

Research Summary

My highly collaborative research program is focused on improving the diagnosis and management of neurotologic diseases, including hearing loss, dizziness, and tinnitus. Our research group accomplishes this through clinical and health services research, medical device development, and otopathologic research. We are funded by NIH, DoD, and foundation grants.
