Dr. Hilt joined LMP Infectious Diseases Division from the University of California, Los Angeles, following completion of a clinical microbiology and public health fellowship in June. During her fellowship she received bench training in bacteriology, mycobacteriology, mycology, parasitology, immunology and serology, and virology, including molecular methods.
Hilt earned a PhD in microbiology and immunology from Loyola University Chicago. She was licensed in M(ASCP)CM – Medical Technologist in Microbiology, American Society of Clinical Pathology -- in 2020.
