Kristen Mark, PhD, MPH

Kristen Mark, PhD, MPH, is the Director of the Eli Coleman Institute for Sexual and Gender Health and holds the Endowed Chair in Sexual Health. She is a tenured Professor in the Department of Family Medicine and Community Health at the University of Minnesota Medical School. Dr. Mark is an internationally recognized sex and relationship researcher whose work focuses on sexual well-being, pleasure, desire, satisfaction, sexual function, and sexuality education. Her research examines how individuals and couples maintain healthy, satisfying intimate relationships and how sexual health can be promoted through education, clinical practice, and policy. With interdisciplinary training in psychology, public health, biostatistics, and human development, Dr. Mark has published extensively in leading scientific journals and presented her work around the world. She is a Certified Sexuality Educator and frequently serves as a media expert, translating sex and relationship science for public audiences.
