Summary
After earning a master’s degree in cognitive psychology from the Universität Regensburg, Germany, I completed a PhD program in clinical psychology at Vanderbilt University, TN, and a postdoctoral fellowship in treatment outcome research at the University of Pennsylvania & the A.T. Beck Institute, PA. As an adult clinical psychologist and faculty member in the department of psychiatry and behavioral sciences, my work is part of the Mood Disorders Program, which investigates and provides novel treatments for bipolar and unipolar mood disorders. My interests include diagnosis and treatment of mood disorders, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), and stress / anxiety disorders.

Clinical training and teaching are among my great passions. I lead the psychiatry residency CBT didactics and have taught psychopathology, evidence-based treatment, clinical research methods and statistics in the past. I much enjoy mentoring and working with psychology students, interns, psychiatry residents, fellows, and colleagues across disciplines.
