Bio
My goal is to provide patient-centered care. This starts with learning what each patient's expectations are during the appointment and carefully listening to the patient to identify potential sources of their symptoms. I believe that patients have incredible insights to the cause of their symptoms and that the patient's experiences are key to identifying the source of pain or limitations.
I also rely on a detailed physical examination to confirm spinal pathology and identify problems in the joints and muscles around the shoulders and pelvis, often which present in a similar fashion to spine pathology. I will review medical imaging with patients to help them understand the source of symptoms and develop a treatment plan to achieve their goals. Surgery is not always necessary, or even possible, but when it is, I want each patient to feel comfortable in the procedure I am recommending and ensure that their questions are answered.
