Catalog Description:  This course will provide instruction and advanced experience in vascular surgery for the student who has completed their core clerkship in surgery. Students taking this course can expect to participate directly in patient care at a level of responsibility that is similar to a first year intern. The student will work with their assigned team under the supervision of the faculty and will participate fully in the care of patients on the hospital wards and in the ICUs, operating room and clinics.

Typical weekly schedule/Delivery Mode: M-F, 5:30am-5:00pm. No overnight or home call, although the student may volunteer to return to the hospital to observe interesting cases during overnight hours. All hours and schedules are at the discretion of the attending and/or resident on service and may not exceed 80 hours per week.
