Catalog Description: Students will participate in the evaluation and management of the acute and chronic cardiovascular disease problems as they occur in the inpatient cardiology consultation service. Supervised electrocardiographic interpretation sessions are available to allow development of skills in electrocardiography. Students will attend cardiovascular clinical conferences as well as informal didactic teaching conferences. Recommended reading assignment: Manual of Cardiovascular Medicine, 4th Edition, edited by Brian P. Grivvin, or the cardiology section of any medicine textbook.
