Catalog description: CCM is a longitudinal course. Students will discuss the differences between an adult and a pediatric exam: discuss and explain normal labor and delivery: understand the benefit of interprofessional teamwork: perform and submit a pediatric and adult History and Physical: understand and perform a focused History and Physical exam and submit SOAP note: take a birth history from a new mom and up Labor and Delivery note: observe / perform a newborn exam and write up a note: demonstrate a professional identity and demeanor, including punctuality, confidentiality, respect for patients and colleagues, reliability and accountability in the performance of duties and to discuss common topics encountered by a community physician.
