Catalog Description: Our students have few opportunities for interaction with insurance, industry, or Health Systems at the executive and managerial levels. UnitedHealthcare has opened their doors for us and we have developed a collaborative elective exposing students to insurance and health system leadership.

Required session attendance: Orientation (the first Monday of rotation), Friday in-person sessions at Optum

Typical weekly schedule/Delivery Mode: Wednesday 9 AM - Noon in-person at UMN, Friday 9 AM - 4 PM at Optum. 6 hours asynchronous/virtual for the month, remainder of time for assigned readings/viewings/work on project.
