Research Coordinator Anna Bloomquist Receives Prestigious CARRA Award


Anna Bloomquist, a Clinical Research Coordinator in the Pediatrics Department, has been honored with the 2024 "Outstanding Research Coordinator Award" from the Childhood Arthritis and Rheumatology Research Alliance (CARRA). This award recognizes individuals who have made exceptional contributions to advancing pediatric rheumatology research and improving the lives of children with pediatric rheumatic and autoimmune diseases.


CARRA, a leading collaborative research network dedicated to pediatric rheumatology, presented the award during its Annual Scientific Meeting. Founded in 2002, CARRA has grown significantly and now includes over 700 physician members across more than 120 institutions in North America and beyond. The network's mission is to conduct research that prevents, treats and ultimately cures pediatric rheumatic diseases, and this award highlights the critical role research coordinators play in achieving this goal.


Anna Bloomquist’s dedication to CARRA’s mission and exemplary work at the University of Minnesota were key criticaltors in her selection for this award.
