Clinical Housing Program
The Clinical Housing Program aims to provide short-term housing (1 to 8 weeks) for Medical Students as they enroll in clinical rotations (away from their home campus) in the Twin Cities, St. Cloud, Duluth, or Greater Minnesota. This can also be effectively utilized if you need to spend a night or more while completing some course requirements.
How it works
- Volunteer hosts sign up to be added to the list of available hosts.
- Private host details are shared only with interested students (this information is never made public).
- Students use the provided information to contact hosts and arrange the details of their stay directly. It is up to the host and student to work out final details regarding the stay.
Hosts provide accommodations in their home, a way to access the home, equipment and a place to prepare and store food, reliable wi-fi access and access to a washer/dryer.
Summer Intern Housing
Summer Intern Housing is exclusively available for undergraduate, graduate, or professional students who are engaged in a summer internship, fellowship, or clinical rotations within the Twin Cities area. Summer Intern Housing is also available to students from other institutions. Click the link below for more information and to find the application.
Clinical Rotation Stipend
To help mitigate housing or transportation costs, a stipend is available for qualified students (view decision tree by clicking the application link below). The Clinical Housing Team determines actual eligibility and will confirm or deny eligibility via email after the application is submitted. Before applying, students are expected to explore housing and transportation options to determine whether the stipend is necessary. (For example, some community hosts do not require housing payments, so the stipend would not be warranted in these situations.) If the stipend is needed, please click on the form below to see the requirements and apply for the stipend!
